An automated, temperature controlled, twelve-position sample changer for neutron scattering instruments

Description

A description is given of an automated twelve-position sample changer and its control electronics for use in neutron scattering instruments on the ISIS Pulsed Neutron Facility. In addition the individual samples can be temperature controlled in the range of 20 to 150degC. Up to twelve samples can be loaded into the instrument and programmed to run in any desired sequence automatically without the user's assistance. (orig.)
