Description

The application of a magnetically split and polarized source for the study of relaxation effects in Moessbauer spectra is discussed. In the special case where the hyperfine fields in the source and the absorber are perpendicular to the γ-ray direction, the individual components of the absorber spectrum can be separated. (Auth.)
