The Monte-Carlo modeling of hydrogen isotopes separation

Description
The Monte-Carlo method has been applied to describe Gas-Solid Chromatography (GSC) process. By tracing the movement of elute molecules in the column, the chromatogram was calculated from some basic parameters. The model was described in detail, and the program MCC-1 was made up. As an example, the separation of H2-HD-D2 on an activated Al2O3 column was researched. A few chromatographs were calculated with different parameters. In this experiment, the complete separation of H2-HD-D2 is obtained. With property parameters, the chromatograms calculated were compared to those gained in experiment. The difference of retention and peak width was less than 5%
