Description
This paper deals with some aspects of γ-radiation stability of cation exchange membranes of phenol sulfonic acid type. The radiation stability of membranes were studied by evaluating changes in various physicochemical and electrochemical properties before and after irradiation. These data point out the possibility of degradation of the membranes beyond 9.78 M rads dose resulting in loss of functional groups from the membrane matrix. (author). 6 refs
