On the radiolysis of the cyclohexane-hexamethylbenzene mixtures
Description
The main radiolytic products of cyclo-hexane-hexamethylbenzene solutions were studied as a function of different kind of scavengers. Irradiation was performed in 60Co-γ-ray source. From experimental results it was concluded that hexamethylbenzene shows a protective effect towards cyclo-hexane decomposition. The behaviour of the cyclo-hexane-hexamethylbenzene-cyclo-propane ternary system suggested that the bulk of the protective effect can be attributed to positive charge scavenging. (author)
