Description
Data characterizing the state and prospects of nuclear power industry development in South Korea are given. Among developing countries South Korea has the most advanced nuclear power industry. In 1988 47% of all electric power was generated at NPPs. 8 power reactors with total capacity of 6666 MW(e) are in operation. In 1988 the utiliaztion factor for NPPs was 72.3%. By 1991 it will reach 75% at all NPPs there are facilities for spent fuel storage 19 years. In the mid-90-ies a central pool for spent fuel storage is planned to put into service
