Experimental and theoretical investigation of the possibility of oxygen atom dimerization in high-temperature ceramic superconductors

Description
The method of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to study the possibility of formation of dimerized oxygen atom groupings in the lattices of high-temperature ceramic superconductors (HCS) on the basis of cluster calculations. The photoelectron O1s spectra of La1.8Sr0.8CuO4-x and Y1Ba2Cu3O7-y composition are obtained and the peak nature in the range of 530.9-531.1 eV is analyzed. On the basis of experimental data and results of simulation of 01s peak chemical shift the formation of peroxide groupings in the dimer lattice of HCS laminated structures is proved
