Curves for a fast calculation of gamma protections
Description
This report contains curves which give, expressed in roentgen per hour at 1 m distance, the ionisation intensity produced by various point gamma sources through materials which are conventionally used in protections: lead, iron or soft steel, barite concrete, ordinary concrete, tungsten, uranium, and glasses of various densities (2.70, 3.30, 4.20, 5.20 and 6.20). Some curves only represent the attenuation of 3 to 6 MeV photons for the same materials. Some tables allow the passage from a point source to a linear source or to a disc source. These graphs and tables allow a fast resolution of main of conventional problems of gamma protection. Examples of use of these graphs and tables are given
