Alpha particle induced reactions of 209Bi at 55.7 and 58.6 MeV
- 1. Radiochemistry Div., Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay (India)
Description
The alpha particle induced reaction studies of 209Bi have been carried out at alpha particle energies of 55.7 MeV and 58.6 MeV using gamma ray spectrometry. The cross sections for the production of reaction products 207At, 208At, 209At and 210At have been determined. The variation of experimental production cross section for the reaction products in 209Bi(α,xn)213-xAt as a function of neutron number of the reaction products at different available energies showed the presence of possible shell effects at neutron number 126.
