Deep structure and seismic effect evaluation in the region of south ukrainian NPP

The work deals with results of studying of the deep lithosphere structure along the transect Vrancea-South Ukrainian nuclear Power Plant (NPP) as well as the procedure of accelerogram calculation for strong earthquakes at large distances from the focus using the records in the epicentral or near area. The procedure is based on the careful consideration of the geological properties of the environment between the focus, a station of the observation and an object under study. The performed investigation have made it possible to carry out the accelerogram calculation for the industry yard of the South Ukrainian NPP basing on the records of the strong Vrancea earthquakes at the seismic station in Kishinev
