Influence of viscosity and electrical resistance on structural state of Al-Sc melts and cast metal structure
Description
Results of experimental determination of kinetic viscosity and specific electric resistance of Al-Sc melts with Sc content up to 3 at.% are presented. The experimental data have been analyzed on the basis of the concept of colloid character of the melt microheterogeneity. On Al-Sc phase diagram a boundary of metastable colloid excistence region has been plotted. The heating of the melt to the temperatures exceeding metastable microheterogeneity decomposition dome leads to considetable modification of cast metal structure
