Description
Some comments are offered on the paper by Libby and others in Nature 261 : 284 (1976), including a criticism of the methods described. It is stated that these authors have not shown that their procedure is valid for the high accuracy necessary in the work, and that some of their assumptions are incorrect. Some of their data are also stated to be very unusual. The present authors describe some experimental work done by them, and comparisons are made with Libby's work. A reply by Libby and others is appended. (U.K.)
