The structural stability in nickel-base superalloy with Hf
Description
The purpose of this study is to note the structural stability of nickel-base superalloy with Hf, MM-247, in the temperature range of 14000F to 18000F. The stress-rupture test samples of nickel-base superalloy are examined by the optical and scanning electron microscopy. Comparison of nickel-base superalloy without and with Hf, shows that the latter has greater phase stability than the former at high temperatures. (author)
