Description
Parallel plate ionization chambers designed and constructed for use in low energy X-radiation fields were tested in beta (90Sr + 90Y), gamma (60Co and 137Cs) and intermediate energy X-radiation, in order to verify the possibility of their usefulness for the detection of these kinds of radiation. The obtained calibration factors were compared with those of the secondary standards of each type of radiation. (author)
