Description

The authors propose a synthesis of the evolution of the nuclear law during 2022. They address legal aspects related to institutions and actors (nuclear as a 'green technology' for the European taxonomy), general principles (IRSN barometer about risk and safety perceptions by French people, public's right to information on nuclear), nuclear activities (assessment of the radiological risk for wild fauna and flora, control of rules implemented by the responsible of a nuclear activity), nuclear safety and security (context of climate crisis, public consultation on the examination of the protection of European nuclear installations against fire, mistakes made by EDF recognised by justice for release of radioactive gas from the Golfech plant, publication of the IRSN report on the situation of nuclear security and radiation protection in France), radioactive wastes (situation of the Cigeo project: decisions and disputes, recommendations by the OPECST for the preparation of the PNGMDR, valorisation of very-low level radioactive materials), international relationships (activity of the ASN emergency centre and evolution of the situation of nuclear installations in Ukraine), nuclear and defence (publication of general rules for related installations and activities), risks and victim compensation (compensation to the victims of nuclear tests), nuclear civil liability (protocols of amendment of the Paris and Brussels conventions, conditions for which the State guarantee is awarded to the Central Reinsurance Fund, installations displaying a small risk)
