The crystal and molecular structure of trans-dioxobis (ethylenediamine) rhenium(5) nitrate. ReO2en2NO3

  • 1. Wroclaw Univ. (Poland) Instytut Chemii

Description

The complex salt ReO2en2NO3 crystallizes in the centrosymmetric triclinic space group P1- with dimensions of the reduced cell a equals 5.638(2), b=9.689(5), and c = 10.799(5) A, α = 97.28(3), β = 93.62(3), and γ = 112.83(3)0. Data to 2THETA approximately equal to 650 (MoKsub(α) radiation) of approximately 1500 reflections were measured on a P21 Syntex four-circle diffractometer. The structure was solved by Patterson and Fourier methods and refined by block-diagonal least-squares claculation to R = 0.032 and Rsub(w) = 0.035 for 1334 independent non-zero reflections. The rhenium atoms occupy special positions and therefore the ReO2en2+ cations are centrosymmetric. (author)
