Description

A first report addresses the acquisition of data required for the sizing of the system of thermal storage in aquifer which is to be installed on the CTFIL site in Balandran (an energy harvester greenhouse), and proposes a first assessment of the potential impacts of a thermal storage in aquifer on the quality of underground waters. The second report proposes a hydrogeological characterization of different sites, a project sizing, a first assessment of impacts of the thermal storage on the quality of underground waters, a hydro-geological characterisation of greenhouse sites in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The next document presents the different works which have already been built in Balandran: the hot and cold wells, and the piezometers designed to control the characteristics of the water sheet at the vicinity of the exploitation installations. The next document reports the design and equipment of the experimental greenhouse built in Balandran: built installations (construction process and characteristics of the performed drillings, interpretation of geological data), pumping tests (on the hot side, on the cold side, pumping in the first one and re-injection in the second one), instrumentation and characterization of the aquifer initial condition. The last document which is the final report concerning this project, presents the experimental installation (heating and cooling operation, main equipment of the harvester greenhouse), reports the study of the thermal evolution of the aquifer (follow-up device, natural evolution of aquifer temperature, evolution of the aquifer temperature during injection/pumping cycles, digital modelling of heat transfers in the aquifer), and of the chemical and micro-biological characteristics of the aquifer. A synthetic version of this last report is also provided
