Scintigraphic image enhancement
- 1. Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering, Bucharest, P.O.Box MG-6, (Romania)
Description
The acquisition of the images from an ANGER gamma camera on a PC-AT is now possible. To take advantage, complex image enhancement methods were adapted and developed: a method based on a Wiener filtering technique and also on an original Monte-Carlo restoration technique. Numerical experiments and experimental phantoms were used to certify the capabilities of these algorithms. A computed program which implements these methods is available. (Author)
