Information about influence of the Mochovce NPP on the environment, August 2011

In this paper results of radiation monitoring of Mochovce NPP Units 1 and 2 are presented. The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within August 2011 were: 0.11 MBq of aerosols, 0.011 MBq of iodine-131, and 0.143 TBq of rare gases. For the period January - August 2011 these radioactive effluents into atmosphere represented 4.55 MBq (0.0027% of annually limit (AL)) of aerosoles, 0.145 MBq (0.0002% of AL) of iodine-131, and 1.346 TBq (0.026% of AL) of rare gases. The radioactive effluents into recipient of Hron River within August 2011 were: 2714 GBq of tritium, and 0.31 MBq of other radionuclides. For the period January - August 2011 these radioactive effluents into recipient of Hron River represented 7315 GBq (61% of AL) of tritium; 7.11 MBq (0.65% of AL) of other radionuclides. Dose equivalents rate for the villages in surroundings of the Mochovce NPP in August 2011 are published. No limits set up by regulatory bodies were exceeded.
