Photoconductivity of Cdsub(1-x)Mnsub(x)Te mixed crystals
Description
Photoconductivity measurements were performed on p-type Cdsub(1-x)Mnsub(x)Te mixed crystals (x = 0.1 to 0.7) at 85 K and room temperature. The values obtained were correlated with those obtained from absorption and exciton reflection measurements. It is suggested that photoconductivity is due to transition from the acceptor levels at +0.17 eV to the conduction band and the peak positions of photoconductivity spectra correspond to the acceptor level-conduction band absorption maximum
