Description

Waste Immobilisation Project (WIP), Kalpakkam is a radiochemical plant for the treatment of highly radioactive liquid wastes arising from the reprocessing of spent fuel from nuclear power plants. The designed electrical load of WIP is around 3600 kW with 1000 kW on emergency power. The electrical power distribution of WIP has been designed and planned to incorporate the latest state of the art switch gear components available in the field and also maximum efforts have been made to incorporate the experience gained earlier
