Recovery of Chinese hamster V79-4 cells after the combined action of hyperthermia and radiation
Description
Survival rate of Chinese hamster V79-4 cells subjected to a combined action of hyperthermia (42 deg C, 40 min) and γ radiation (4Gy) increases sufficiently with the increase of their exposure time in the growth medium at 37 deg C prior to hypertonic treatment (1.5 M of NaCl, 15 min). Under immediate treatment of cells, subjected to a combined action of the indicated inactivating factors, by a hypertonic solution a sufficient synergetic hyperthermia and radiation interaction takes place which is decreased if saline treatment is performed after 4-hour cell exposure in the growth medium
