Determination of bismuth and copper in Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O high-tc superconductors by potentiostatic coulometry

Description
Potentiality of bismuth (3) and copper (2) determination in case of their joint presence in high-temperature superconductors of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x composition is studied. The method of potentiostatic coulometry is used, platinum net being the working electrode, silver chloride saturated with KCl serving as comparison electrode, 0.5-1 M HCl and 1 M HClO4 solutions. It is shown that this method can be used for bismuth and copper determination in the samples mentioned with a high degree of accuracy (Sr for the results obtained not exceeding 0.005). The presence of Ca and Sr ions in solutions analyzed does not affect the results reproducibility

Исследована возможность определения висмута(3) и меди(2) при их совместном присутствии в высокотемпературных сверхпроводниках состава Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+x. Использован метод потенциостатической кулонометрии, где рабочим электродом является платиновая сетка, электрнодом сравнения - хлоридсеребряный, насыщенный KCl; 0,5-1 М растворы HCl и 1 M HClO4. Показано, что данный метод может быть использован для определения висмута и меди в данных образцах с хорошей степенью точности (Sr для полученных результатов не выше 0,005). Наличие в анализируемых растворах ионов Ca и Sr не влияет на воспроизводимость результатовAdditional details
