Deposition of radioactive substances on a platinum anode
Description
The kinetics of the deposition of radioactive substances (204Tl, 144Ce, 143Pr, 166Ho, 147Nd, 242Cm) on platinum anode was investigated. The critical deposition potential was determined from the potential dependence of the rate constant and the amount deposited in the equilibrium state. The surface structural properties of the electrode have an effect on electrolytic deposition and this is especially important for the electrolysis of radioactive substances present only in tracer quantities.
