S-band deflecting structure tuning

Description
Tuning procedure and results obtained for RF structure developed for PITZ deflector are presented. Deflector cavity operated in traveling wave TM11 mode is based on cylindrical disk loaded waveguide geometry with two holes in diaphragms for field polarization plane stabilization. Cavity consisted of 14 cells and two power coupling cells was tuned to reflection better than -35 dB. Field flatness obtained is less than 1 % and 2π/3 operating mode is sustained within less than 1 degree.
