X-ray absorption and x-ray conduction of indium selenide single crystals
Description
In this paper the authors report the results of an experimental investigation of the absorption, dosimetric, current-voltage, and spectral characteristics of indium monoselenide, the effect of the temperature and illumination on these characteristics for effective wavelengths in the range 0.33-1.47 angstrom, and their theoretical substantiation. Indium selenide single crystals display a considerable x-ray sensitivity in the range of effective wavelengths from 0.1 to 1.47 angstrom. The contributions from each of the components to the x-ray absorption by indium selenide change fairly abruptly at wavelengths that correspond to the absorption edges for absorption in the k shells of their atoms. The spectral distribution of the x-ray conduction is observed to have a distinct maximum near radiation with λeff = 0.28 angstrom. The predominant mechanism of interaction of x-rays with indium selenide single crystals is that of photoelectric absorption in the k shells of the atoms of the components
