Effect of thiazoline derivatives on radiation inactivation of α-chymotrypsin
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (USSR)
Description
A study was made on the effect of ionizing radiation on hydroxyalamine protease α-chymotrypsin, as biochemical model system, in the presence of thiazoline derivatives. Irradiation was conducted at room temperature, using 137Cs source with 0.083 Gy/s dose rate. It is shown that hydrochlorideand hydrobromide of 2-decylthio-2-thiozoline are characterized by the maximal protecting effect among studied compounds; 2-oxy-5-methyl-bromo-2-thiazoline should be used in order to combine the protecting effect with decrease of protease activity
