Thorium isotopes transfer from arable soils into agricultural plants
Description
Presented are the results of alpha-spectrometric determination of thorium isotopes in the samples of arable soils from four European areas of the USSR and in agricultural plants grown on these soils. It is found, that thorium isotope uptake by the plants from all the soils is variable and decreases as follows: 228Th > 230Th > 232 Th. The phenomenon observed results from the difference in isotope forms in the soils
