Description

The alpha-particle-emission probabilities (Pα) of 236Pu have been measured using thin sources produced by sublimation in vacuum, and a passivated implanted planar silicon (PIPS) detector of 50-mm2 active area. Two different peak-fitting models were used in the analysis of the pulse-height spectra. The results are: Pα0 0.6927(6), Pα47 = 0.3052(6), Pα156 0.00207(5). (author)
