Handling the internal emitters: dosimetry and applications
Creators
Description
This chapter presents calculation methods of radiation doses from internal emitters. Separate sections contain discussions of beta dosimetry, alpha dosimetry, and the dosimetry for internally deposited gamma ray emitters. Radiological and biological half-times are defined, and two dosimetry problems are given to illustrate the principles developed in the chapter. A special section on tritium and its health hazards to the public is included
