What can NMR say about textures in 3He-A
Description
Longitudinal and transverse NMR in 3He-A can be reduced to equivalent Schroedinger equations, with attractive potentials localized in the regions where l differs from +/-d. These potentials typically have depth and range of order unity, producing only one bound state. The associated eigenvalue characterizes the shift in the NMR frequency from the bulk value, and the range of the wave function determines the relative absorption strength. The theory is applied to narrow channels and to vortices in rotating superfluid 3He-A. 14 references, 2 figures, 2 tables
