Contribution to the elution mechanism of uranium from a strong base resin by carbonate-bicarbonate eluants
Description
A total of 25 elution experiments have been performed for uranyl dicarbonate complex from amberlite IRA-430 strong base anion exchange resin. Eluants used involved a combination of either (NH4)2 CO3-Na HCO3 or Na2CO3-NH4HCO3 at various concentrations. From the obtained results, it was possible to deduce an elution mechanism that seems to depend upon the type of the mixed eluant used as well as on the concentration of each component
