Hydrodynamic model of particle production
Description
The expansion of a slab with a linear equation of state in relativistic hydrodynamics was investigated. Treating the transverse extension of an extremely thin cylinder as a perturbation, slab solution is applied to the flow of relativistic fluids initially confined to such a cylinder. Transverse four-velocity turns out to be bounded. An approximate solution of the spherically symmetric flow problem is also given. Finally the results are applied to particle production from proton-proton collision and electron-positron annihilation
