Description

Analysis of optical observatiops Made at the Baren tzburg station (Spits-bergen) has been carried out. It is shown that in the day-side sector of auroral oval a considerable increase in the luminescence intensity in the emission lambda 6300 A at a simuttaneous decrease in the lambda 5577 A emission intensity takes place. The range of the tambda 6300 A intensive luminescence in the premidday sector is 2 to 3 deg wide. Radiant aurora arcs are formed in the equatorial boundary rapge of the region and are shifted to the pole through 1-2 deg. In the range of red tuminescence with 4 to 11 min time intervals sharp short-time enhancements of lambda 5577 A emission intensity are observed retated to sudden brightening of aurorae discrete forms. In the visual diffusion luminescence, observed an the morning and day sectors in the periods of geomagnetic disturbahces the intensity of the tambda 5577 A emisinon exceeds the intensity of the lambda 6300 A emission by a factor of two and more
