Quark model for K-p → πΣ, πΛ reactions at low energies

Description
In our SU(3) quark model, K⁻p→πΣ,πΛ reactions at low energies are investigated. The physical baryon octet is taken as 8 (physical)=8′cosθ+8sinθ, where the octets 8 and 8′, arise, respectively, from 3 ⊗ 3̄ and 3 ⊗ 6 contained in the direct product 3 ⊗ 3 ⊗ 3. In terms of the mixing angle θ, our calculations are compared with the available data on (a) , (b) , and (c) , at p_L=293 MeV/c.
