Neutron scattering investigation on aqueous UO2(ClO4)2 solution

Description
From the counting rates - measured at room temperatures - of neutrons inelastically scattered on water and special aqueous UO2(ClO4)2 solutions the averaged frequencies of the superposition bands of the hindered torsions of the water were determined. In this, the Bravais lattice approximation was used for determining the phonon density function. The change of these frequencies in the presence of electrolytes is in harmony with diffusion parameters such as lifetime of an H2O molecule in a pseudo lattice site, diffusive step length and amplitude of thermal cloud, which follow from the model evaluations of measured spectra of the quasielastic neutron scattering. Abstract (German)
Unter Zugrundelegung eines Bravais-Gitters fuer Wasser und spezielle waessrige UO2(ClO4)2-Loesungen wurden aus den bei Zimmertemperatur gemessenen Spektren der nichtelastischen Neutronenstreuung ueber die Ermittelung der Phononendichtefunktion die mittleren Frequenzen der Superpositionsbanden der behinderten Translationen und behinderten Torsionen des Wassers bestimmt. Die Aenderung dieser Frequenzen bei Elektrolytanwesenheit steht im Einklang mit den Diffusionsparametern wie Lebensdauer eines H2O-Molekuels auf einem Pseudogitterplatz, Diffusionsstufenlaenge und 'Thermal cloud'-Amplitude, die sich aus der modellmaessigen Ueberarbeitung der gemessenen Spektren der quasielastischen Neutronenstreuung ergeben.
