Synergistic effects during high temperature irradiation
Creators

Description
The effect of irradiation induced solute segregation at point defect sinks on the coupled evolution of void and dislocation loop radii is modelized. The solute content of the matrix affects both the diffusion coefficients and the dislocation bias for interstitial capture. The latter effect is found to trigger pronounced incubation effects for swelling, the temperature and flux dependence of which are in qualitative agreement with those observed in steels under neutron irradiation.
