Thin Transmission Photodiodes as Monitor Detectors in the X-ray Range

  • 1. Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, Abbestr. 2-12, 10587 Berlin (Germany)

Description

Transmission photodiodes with thicknesses between 5 μm and 20 μm have been investigated as monitor detectors for synchrotron radiation experiments in the photon energy range from 1.75 keV to 10 keV. Their responsivity and transmittance has been measured as well as the homogeneity of both quantities. Depending on the photon energy, the optimum diode thickness can be selected
