YBa2Cu3Oy at high temperatures: electrical properties and oxygen exchange problem

  • 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad (USSR). Inst. Khimii Silikatov

Description

Electric conductivity of YBa2Cu3Oy composition HTSC-ceramics within 77-1200 K temperature range as well as thermo-emf within 400-1200 K temperature interval are measured. Measurement results are compared to thermogravimetry data. An interrelation of features of electrophysical property temperature dependence behaviour with the character of superconducting ceramics gas exchange at high temperatures, including synthesis and annealing temperatures, is revealed. An assumption is made, explaining the observed regularities from the viewpoint of decomposition or formation of dynamic peroxide bonds initiated by barium ions. Optimal conditions for low-temperature annealings are proposed
