Nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies

  • 1. CERN, Geneva

Description

This paper reviews experimental results from very high energy nucleus-nucleus collisions and compares them with pp and pA data. A survey of the sources of existing data for the collisions is presented and a detailed presentation is given of distributions in longitudinal phase space variables and of leading nucleons. A review and interpretation of data on strangeness production in pp and pA interactions is given and a comparison with the expectation for strangeness in the QGP is made
