Photoelectric photometry of the shell star 4 Herculis
- 1. Landis Observatory, East Paint, GA (USA)
- 2. Hickox Observatory, Chagrin Falls, OH (USA)
- 3. Vanderbilt Univ., TN (USA)
Description
A total of 268 photoelectric observations obtained in 1974 and 1975 plotted modulo 46sup(d).1943 have failed to reveal any eclipse and hence fail to provide any direct evidence in favor of the binary star hypothesis of Harmanec, Koubsky, Krpata, and Zdarsky. Nevertheless, because of the excellent phase coverage, they succeeded in showing that, within the framework of the binary hypothesis, the orbital inclination must be less than i = 79.sup(o)3.
