Description

The problem of the dynamic behaviour of an equation error adaptive identification algorithm is addressed. For this, dynamic bounds for the estimation error of the parameters are used. In particular, conditions are given under which abrupt transients in the parameters' estimates are possible. The relationship between this phenomenon, the accuracy of the estimates and some magnitudes characterizing the 'quality of the information' is studied. Finally, several results predicted by the theory are demonstrated in simulated examples. (Author)
