Local concentrations of radionuclides in air in the process of antropogenic activity in the ChNPP zone

Description

Concentration of radioactive materials in near-earth air layer connected with antropogenic activity in the ChNPP zone are studied. The data on mean levels of road contamination, as well as radionuclide concentrations in air behind moving automobiles are discussed. It is noted that air contamination levels by long-living radionuclides are decreased by the factor of 102-103, but transuranium nuclide concentration remains high during the observation period. Local air radioactive contamination is greatly increased during different technical operations with radioactive wastes. 2 refs.; 6 tabs
