A brief on the implementation of the national nuclear power programme

The Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission is poised to position the country to successfully implement the National Nuclear Power programme in a sustainable manner. A programme to deploy NPPs for electricity generation has been developed and approved by the Federal Government. Successful implementation requires meticulous planning and serious commitment of national resources on a long-term basis. National cooperation and partnership with the IAEA and the international community is deemed to be paramount, appropriate and useful for the success of the programme.
