Planar channeling and blocking profile by transfer matrix method

Description
Some numerical computations, supplementing our previous results, are given, considering the planar channeling of protons in gold. We make use of different types of potentials and conclude that the Lindbard and Moliere potentials give good results, but the Bohr potential leads to unacceptable values. We extend our treatment to the emission of particles from atoms. We obtain the characteristic blocking profile and satisfactory results for the minimum yield (chisub(min)) and half angles (PHIsub(1/2)). (author)
