Description
The LHD device in National Institute for Fusion Sciecen (NIFS) is taken as an example of magnetic confinement fusion test facilities and characteristics of the electromagnetic compatibility around the facility are discussed. Measuring methods of the leakage magnetic field of superconducting magnets (SCM), extremely low frequency (ELF) at the SCM power plant and the electromagnetic radiation up to 100 MHz from the ICRF facility are given. It is emphasized that the advanced safety management is needed in the future for electromagnetic bursts and accidents in magnetic confinement fusion test facilities. (author)
