Method of production of spherical uranium dioxide fuel and/or breeder particles for nuclear reactors and breeder reactors

Description

The method consists in hardening spherical drops of a uranium containing aqueous solution by a chemical reaction. The aqueous solution consists of uranyl nitrate, urea and hexamethylene tetramine and is dropped into a water insoluble liquid such as liquid paraffin. (UA/LH)

Abstract (German)

Das Verfahren besteht darin, kugelfoermige Tropfen einer uranhaltigen waessrigen Loesung durch eine chemische Reaktion auszuhaerten. Die waessrige Loesung besteht aus Uranylnitrat, Harnstoff und Hexamethylentetramin und wird in eine Wasser nicht loesende Fluessigkeit wie Paraffinoel eingetropft. (UA)
