The moment of inertia of 130Ce above spin 30h
- 1. Liverpool Univ. (UK). Oliver Lodge Lab.
Description
The structure of 130Ce has been investigated at high spin following the 100Mo(34S, 4n)130Ce reaction. Evidence is seen near (h/2π)ω=0.6 MeV for the alignment of isub(13/2) neutrons which is predicted by the cranked shell model. Rotational structure extends up to (h/2π)ω=0.8 MeV with a constant moment of inertia (Isub(band)sup((2))), equal to the rigid body value above (h/2π)ω=0.6 MeV. (orig.)
