Environmental radiation workshop held in Iitate village, Fukushima prefecture

Description
The educational project which was implemented in Iitate village, Fukushima prefecture, concerning radiation has been initiated for university students since 2016. This practicum project consists of classroom-lecture, on site field work (include sampling) and measurement radioactivity. The participants have been gathered regardless of their major, year, or nationality. Compared to the results before the practicum, the participants understanding of radiation increased by 15%. It is predicted that there will be more than 80 students to participate in 2021, and the project has been growing over time. (author)
