The reaction of cesium and sodium metals with uranium hexafluoride
Description
The reaction of uranium hexafluoride with sodium and cesium metal was studied. With sodium, the reaction produces the double salt, β-Na2UF6. The reaction with cesium produces an unusual compound [Cs2UF6]Cs which contains tetravalent uranium and free cesium in the lattice. (author)
